He was born May 10, 1930 in Delta, Colorado, the son of Tranquilino and Alice (Martinez) Herrera. On November 11, 1953 he married Julia U. Romero, in Denver, CO.
He is survived by Three Children, Geri (Daniel) Gallegos, Michael J. Herrera, and Lynda Hutcherson; Six Grandchildren, Danielle R. Gallegos, Michael R. Herrera, Mia Gallegos, Shay Herrera, Alyssa Menjivar, and Dylan Hutcherson; Ten Great Grandchildren, Nyah R. Purify, Rayiah L. Harris, Lealah Herrera, Deysi Arellano, Ivy Herrera, Israel Menjivar, Sessie Menjivar, Moses Menjivar, Edira Menjivar, and Baby Jonah; Sister, Rose Ramos; Brother, Tony Herrera. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Julia U. Herrera, and numerous siblings.
