Raymond W. Wilderman
1940-2013
Raymond Wilderman, 73, a Colorado native, was a companion, a father, a brother, and an amazing friend. As a self-made man, he joined and served our country for four years in the US Navy aboard the USS Midway. He deployed on two tours, including Hawaii and Japan, and always had many good, bad, and ugly stories to tell both while at port and on sea. He worked and retired from Public Service for 36 years as a lineman. He loved playing golf with friends, family, and The Metro Seniors. Ray was also a member of the Excel 5th Wheel Camping Group and loved to travel and go camping. His talents were many and everything that he did was done meticulously and always to perfection.
Raymond was the second born son to LaVerna and Eugene Wilderman. He was a very caring and loving brother to Don, Alan, and Larry. Family was the number one virtue to Ray. As the former wife and mother of their three kids, Janet and Ray were always dedicated companions until the very unexpected time of Ray's passing. Ray was the devoted father of Todd, Tim, and Tammi, amazing grandfather of Holly, Nathon, Cody, Joshua, Brandan, Jaelene, Janet, Jaquelyn, Alexis, and Dominic, and loving great-grandfather of Jeremiah, Phoenix, and Luna. He was always proud of his family.
Ray has been preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Don and Larry. Raymond Wilderman will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.
Raymond's viewing will be on Monday, January 6th, from 5-8 pm at Newcomers Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO, 80226. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 7th, at 10 am, also at Newcomers Funeral Home in Lakewood. Ray will be buried at Fort Logan Cemetary at 11:30 am. A reception will follow at 1 pm, at the Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills, 9650 N. Sheridan Blvd, Westminster, CO 80031.
