Reva Gene Allee

September 2, 1923 — September 19, 2024

The family of Reva Gene Allee (Baser) announces with great sorrow, her passing on September 19, 2024 at 101 years of age in Denver, Colorado.

Reva was a life long Christian. She passed in peace, with no fear, as she went into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born in 1923 in the oil fields of Webb City, OK, Reva was the third of seven children of Frank and Ica (Roberts) Baser. The family left Oklahoma for Richmond, California in 1941 for job opportunities. Before that, Elbert Allee met Reva through her brother James, in Wann, OK (the two men were in CCC camps together). Elbert followed Reva to California, and the two were married in Reno, Nevada on June 1, 1942, prior to Elbert’s enlistment in the Army. In 1943, he was sent to the European Theater of WWII, while Reva served the war effort in the Richmond shipyards and Signal Depot in Sacramento. The couple would reunite more than three years later.

Reva and Elbert settled in Sacramento to raise their two sons, Larry and Terry. In 1972, the family moved to Aurora, CO where Reva worked as a Baker for Scotts Liquid Gold in their Food Service. She was famous for her amazing pies. After she retired, they moved back to Miami, OK, returning to Aurora in 2006.

Reva was a kind and generous lady, loved by all who knew her. Her fighting spirit only showed when aspersions were cast against her God, family or country.

Reva is predeceased by her husband; her parents; sisters Wanda Swartz and Thelma Poindexter; brothers James and Gerald Baser; and sister-in-law JoAnn Baser (Hershel).

She is survived by sons Larry (Laurie) and Terry (Belinda Arthurs) (Theresa Allee, deceased); grandchildren Charlene and Sheena Allee, Lex Allee and Abby Heringer; great grandson Drake Heringer; brothers Owen (Lois) and Hershel Baser; sister-in-law Bettie Baser (Gerald), plus many nieces and nephews.

Reva will be interred with Elbert at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on October 10, 2024.
