Rex Mackelprang

Rex Mackelprang, 87, of Lakewood, CO. Born February, 19, 1924 in Cedar City, Utah, to parents Dell Roy and Leona Mackelprang. Rex served his country proudly during WWII and was a member of the VFW #9644. He passed away quietly February 14, 2012 following a brief illness. He is survived by his children Marie, Alan and Dave; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Evelyn, parents and granddaughter Jaime. Viewing will be Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 2-6 P.M., Funeral service Monday, February 20, 2012, 10:30 A.M. both at Newcomer West Metro Chapel. Interment to follow with United States Navy Military Honors at Ft. Logan National Cemetery 12:30 P.M. Area "B".
