Ricardo Ebia, Sr., 87, of Lakewood, CO, died July 21, 2013.
He was born to the late Ariston and Tiborcia Ganal Ebia, March 19, 1926, in Waialua, Oahu, HI. He married the late Crecenciana Hagmoc (1950 – 1986) and they lived together in Aiea, HI; and he remarried to the late Lydia Sison (1988 – 2010) and they lived together in Waipahu, HI. There were 16 siblings in his family.
Ricardo, as a civilian, was a Jet Propulsion Aircraft Mechanic at Hickam Air Force Base and retired in 1986. He served in the U.S. Army and in the Reserves with the HHC, 411th Engineer Battalion at Ft. DeRussy, retiring as Command Sergeant Major in March 19, 1986. He was an avid bowler and fisherman and after his retirement, he spent his days traveling between Waipahu, HI and Urdaneta, PI.
Ricardo was the father of six children: Constance M. Magalong of Lakewood, CO; Ricardo Ebia, Jr. of Waipahu, HI; Delilah E. Wagoner of Hilo, HI; Samson Ebia of Kailua, HI; the late Paul Lim Ebia, and Richard Clayton Ebia of Waipahu, HI; and step children: Mario Colvis Murillo of Urdaneta, PI; Garly S. Murillo of Orange County, CA; and Joseph S. Ramirez, Honolulu, HI. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. Burial of ashes will take place at Mililani Memorial Park and Crematory, Mililani, Oahu, HI.
