Richard "Dickie" Barela, 78, passed away on January 1, 2022, at Trinidad Inn Nursing Home after a long battle with dementia.
He was born to Annie and Ben Barela on September 16, 1943 in Denver, Co. He worked as a Machinist for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing with friends and the outdoors.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard Silleto and daughter, Christie; grandchildren, Candra, Alexzandra, Brendan, Jayd, Jesse; Jayse, Niko; and four great- grandchildren.
He is also survived by his former wife, Betty; and other friends and family.
Richard is preceded by his sons, Erik and Jason Barela.
