Listen to Obituary

Richard Barr of Golden, Co, passed on Friday September 26th at the age of 75.

Born and raised in Englewood, Co to Richard and Pauline Barr, he was the second of three kids (the only boy, as he frequently mentioned). As a kid he would always be found outside riding his bike, playing with his turtles in a banana split boat in a creek, fishing in the sand pit, etc.

He went on to have two children in his life and help many many animals find homes. He was so loved. He loved giving gifts. He would make sure that any cake he had designed was perfect and tailored to each person. At Christmas time? Actually Santa. He gave so many gifts, that he would have to buy and wrap them year round. He gave so many, that his children would get TIRED opening presents as kids, which never happens in any other household.

He spent his last day poking fun, laughing, and joking with his daughter Ashley and sister Teresa.

It is now time for him to once again rejoin so many of his loved ones, whom preceded him in death: his mother and father, his older sister, his son, all of his dogs (including his beloved Skippy), and many more extended family.

He will be buried in the cemetery he walked daily, with his beloved Skippy. He found peace there in life, and now, in death.

He loved movies and frequently quoted them. Most notably lines from The Egyptian and Gladiator. In the words of one of those quotes he always would say:

I will see you again. But not yet, not yet.

We love you and miss you daily!
