Ricky Maupin

Rick (Daddy) Maupin was called home on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. He passed peacefully in his sleep in his home. He is survived by his loving wife Lily, Son Shawn (Deanna), Daughter Samantha, much loved grandkids Andrew, Melissa, Michael, Megan, Matthew and Mason. Brother William (Linda) and his sister Judy.

He is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Rick was born July 7, 1956 at General Rose Hospital in Denver, CO to Orville and Dorothy Maupin. Rick married Lily Mann on July 7, 1973 in Aurora, CO where together they made a life together, worked and raised their children.

Rick was a gifted guitarist, self taught who played by ear. At age 15 he formed his own band and played some local gigs. Throughout his life he continued to play for his own enjoyment and that of his family, especially his wife who was his biggest fan.

Rick loved music and movies and collected hundreds of albums, CDs and DVDs.

Rick loved animals and animals loved Rick. At the time of his passing he belonged to 3 dogs, his beloved Abby (a Boston Terrier), Shylo (a Beagle), and Bridgette (a Min Pin).

Daddy we miss you terribly. You will always be with us. We love you more than you will ever know.
