Robert Christopher Weiss, 41, of Aurora Colorado passed away on July 6th from cardiac arrest.
He was born in Denver on April 13th 1972, to Fred and Mary Weiss. He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1990.
Robert previously lived in Atlanta, El Paso and Las Vegas but the Denver area was always his home. He loved the mountains, camping, boating and fishing. He was drawn to the ocean and adored the time he spent on the Lake of the Woods in Canada with his family.
A born salesperson, Robert worked tirelessly to meet the needs of his customers and make them happy, many of these customers became good friends. In the early 90's Robert was a breeder of National Champion Rabbits. His favorite breed was Holland Lops and Mini Lops which he gave crazy names like Boofer, Bunnicula, Spud and Russet. He also organized and hosted many successful Rabbit Shows.
Robert had so many hobbies and interests from boating and fishing with his Dad and Brothers, going to the theatre with his Sister in Law, golfing with his friends and winning big at the slot machines. He was a world traveler, visiting France, England, The Netherlands and he once had lunch in Juarez Mexico. His most recent trip was to California when he surprised his Mom on Mother's Day.
Robert had a keen eye for design and was constantly decorating and feathering his nest. He also loved throwing parties and gathering all of his loved ones in one place. An adventurous foodie, he loved to grill and was an expert about cheese.
Robert was an amazing and generous Uncle to his niece and nephew. He loved spending time with them and they shared a love of Beanie Babies, swimming and eating at the buffet at The Ameristar and watching The Polar Express. One of the last things he did with them was teach them about taxes.
Robert is survived by his parents: Fred and Mary Weiss of Reedley, CA; two brothers: Andrew of Reedley, CA and Keith and Connie Weiss of Lakewood, CO. A niece and a nephew: Meghan and Erick Weiss of Lakewood, CO. He is also survived by his beloved cat, André.
