Robert E. "Bob" Gier, 89, of Lakewood, passed away on August 25, 2017.
He was born on July 7, 1928 in Grand Island, Nebraska, where he was also raised. He was the son of Ernest and Elsie (Whitely) Gier.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Bachelors Degree in Business.
On July 5, 1952, he married Novelle Johnson.
Robert honorably served in the U.S. Air Force.
Bob worked as an Account Manager for AT&T Long Lines.
Bob is survived by two daughters, Ceclea A. (David) Little and Shelly J. (Roger) Cline; son, Brian E. (Julie) Gier; four grandchildren, Robert Little, Mechelle Little, Ian Cline and Patrick Cline; brother, Merle (Norma) Gier and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Novelle M. Gier; father, Ernest Roy Gier; mother, Elsie Gier; three brothers, Roy, Wayne and Earl Gier, two sisters-in-law, Ilena and Lois Gier; sister, Vivian Schuman and brother-in-law, Paul Schuman.
Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Green Mountain Christian Church, 10700 W. Exposition Dr., Lakewood, CO 80226.
