Robert E. Whalen, born 1938 in Eastport, ME, son of Hollis and Alice (nee Dunklee) Whalen, passed away on Sep. 19, 2012 after a short illness at his home in Aurora, CO. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly A. (nee Hicks) Whalen; sons, David (Laurie) Whalen, Timothy Whalen, and Robert (Joseph Emiro) Whalen; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Whalen, Emily Whalen, Michelle Whalen, and Christopher (Josephine Ward) Whalen; one great grandson, Skyler Whalen. Inurnment will be 2:30 PM, Friday, Sep. 28, 2012 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery with Full Air Force Honors. A celebration of his life will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, Sep. 29, 2012 at Newcomer East Metro Chapel.
