Robert Hurt
October 29, 1948 — August 22, 2013
Robert Hurt, "Bob" (1948-2013), 64, passed away on August 22nd, 2013. He is survived by his mother, Betty "Pat" Hurt; sister Pati "Sue" Jacobsen (Hurt), and her husband Wayne; his nephew Mick Jacobsen and niece Tara Fick (Jacobsen), and her husband Jason; his great-nephew Johnathon Jacobsen; and his cat, Mommason. Preceded by his father Carroll Hurt.
He was a perpetual student. If he wasn't sitting in a classroom, he was studying reference books, anything from photography to electronics to ham radio to religion to business to law. He was a photographer, electronics engineer and Eagle Scout. He always doted on his niece and nephew when they were children. He was short of stature, but big of heart.
When his health was failing he relied on his friends, whom he called his
"angels".
There will be a prayer service in September; his ashes will be spread over Mount Lindo's cross, Morrison, CO, along with those of his dear dachshund Shotz.
