Robert J. Pepping Jr. "Pep"
Robert Pepping Jr., also known as Pep was born in San Diego, California 12/29/47 to Robert Pepping Sr and his wife Patricia.
When Pep was a small boy his father relocated the family to Denver, Colorado where Pep began a lifetime of accumulating friends. Shortly after moving to Denver, he met the Borrego's and the Sanchez's who quickly became his surrogate families for the duration of his life. After graduating from West High School, Pep returned to San Diego to join the Navy where he remained after his discharge to begin what would be his life's work, becoming a tire guy.
Upon his return to Denver, he worked construction until he had the opportunity to purchase his own tire business. Pep purchased Center Tire in Lakewood where he worked for the next 20 some years, creating a loyal clientele through his honest dealings and commitment to excellence. His kindness and generosity to the people who came through his business was something he never talked about, but was the reason his business was so successful.
Pep's last five years were commited to his grandson Jayden. On a weekend, whether at a car show or just hanging out with friends, you never saw one without the other.
Pep passed away after a 15 year battle with cancer September 28, 2012. A celebration of his life will be held at the American GI Forum, Mile High Chapter 1717 Federal Blvd on October 25, 2012 6 - 9 PM
