Robert L. Jacobson
Born of Emerson, Nebraska February 22, 1925 to parents William C. and Gertrude Jacobson. Baptized and confirmed May 1939. Graduated from South Sioux City High School,in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Served in WWII 470 Bombardment Group Air Force in 1943-1946. He graduated with his B.A. from Wayne State College in 1949. Graduated from University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1949 with his Masters of Education. Superintendent and Coach for Hubbard, Nebraska Schools from 1949-1951. Principal and Chemistry Teacher from 1951-1956 in Hartington, Nebraska. He was a Chemistry teacher at George Washington High School in Denver, Colorado. Computer technician/programmer for Denver Public Schools from 1956-1990. He married Elayne Bartels on December 27, 1951.
Survived by wife of 60 years Elayne; sons Layne (Billi) and Kent (Candy) Jacobson; grandsons Brandon (Constance) and Eric Jacobson; great-grandchildren Kile and Keylea Jacobson. Memorial services, Saturday, November 5, 2011, 12-noon at Advent Lutheran Church, 7979 Meade St., Westminster, CO 80030. Reception to follow service at the Church. Interment Monday, November 7, 2011 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery Staging area "C" at 11:15 P.M. With United States Army Honors rendered.
