Robert Earl Martin was born on May 13, 1962 in Pueblo, Colorado. During Robert's formative years, he spent a couple of years in Germany with his family, and then moved to Junction City, Kansas.
During his adolescent years, he earned money by mowing lawns for neighbors. When he began to get so many requests for lawn care, he formed a company by hiring his friends who got paid for doing the work while he gathered more requests. He graduated from Junction City High School and attended the University of Kansas in 1980 and 1981. After he left college he moved to Denver where he quickly found a job. In 1985 he married Wanda Moody (Martin) and had three children. After several years in Colorado, he opened up a pager and cell phone store (which is currently Metro PCS) in the Five Points, where he sold phones and pagers and other products for over 25 years.
He leaves behind his mother, Claudine Martin-Ryals; his father Robert Lee Martin; his sister, Zanetta Jackson; four children: Robert Quincey Martin and wife, Melissa; Bryan Martin; Sarah Martin, and Shannon Martin. He also left two grandsons, a niece and nephew and many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his unborn son, Joshua.
