Robert Edwin O'Harrow

July 17, 1935 – June 19, 2026

U. S. NAVY VETERAN • AURORA POLICE DEPT. RETIRED

Robert "Bob" Edwin O'Harrow, a dedicated public servant, talented musician, and true cowboy at heart, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on July 17, 1935, in Sioux City, Iowa, Bob was the beloved son of his devoted mother Virginia and father Milo and youngest of 5 children.

Bob answered the call of duty early in life, proudly serving his country in the United States Navy. Following his honorable military service, he transitioned to protecting and serving his local community by joining the Aurora Police Department. Bob walked his beat and wore his badge with unwavering integrity, ultimately earning a well-deserved retirement after years of dedicated law enforcement service.

Bob’s true passion lay in the rugged beauty of the West and the freedom of the cowboy lifestyle. He built his own cabin in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. There, surrounded by his horses and chickens, he embraced the quiet simplicity of ranch life. Bob found great joy and camaraderie competing in quick-draw shooting competitions across Colorado and Arizona.

Music was another cornerstone of Bob’s vibrant life. He was a gifted artist who loved sharing his passion with others, most notably with his band, Bit-O Country. Through his music, Bob brought people together, filled rooms with song, and left a lasting impression on everyone who heard him play.

Above all, Bob will be remembered for his magnetic personality. Blessed with a quick wit and a brilliant smile, he was always ready with a well-timed joke to make you laugh. He brought light into every room he entered, and his storytelling ability was unmatched.

Bob is survived by his three loving children: Dennis O'Harrow and his wife Catalina, James O'Harrow and his wife Tina, and Colleen O'Harrow. He leaves behind a legacy of strength and love in his four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.

Happy tails to you, until we meet again.
