Roberta Jean "Bobby Jean" Johnson, 70, of Lakewood, passed away August 11, 2014.
She was born March 22, 1944 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Elliott and Roberta (Stormont) Adams. She was a graduate of Sheridan High School. She attended Community College of Aurora.
Roberta is survived by Daughter, Darcy J. Montoya; two Grandchildren, Matthew W. Davison, Ethan K. Montoya; three Sisters, Helen C. (Richard) Benning, Shirley L. Johnson, Linda G. (Oscar) Emison; two Brothers, Frank E. (Janice) Adams, David A. (Jan) Adams. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, spending time with family, attending church, making ceramics, caring for kids and volunteering in the children's ministry. Roberta was an avid reader and a life long learner. She had a soft spot for animals and always had pets. She never missed a Broncos game.
Roberta regularly contributed to ASPCA, PETA, Dumb Friend's League, and Compassion International. For many years, she sponsored a total of three children, two living in Uganda and one living in India.
