Roberto "Bob" Prado

Bob was born in Denver on September 16, 1934. He joined the love of his life, Berly with their Creator, on June 12, 2015, after several years of declining health.

He grew up in East Denver. At age 19 Bob joined the U. S. Army and served with the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, NC at the end of the Korean conflict. Upon his discharge from active duty he served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1961.

During the late 1950s and early 1960s, Bob was the working partner with Hiliker Construction Company a specialty concrete contractor in Denver.
He married the love of his life, Berlina "Berly" Harmes, on December 19, 1964. Berly passed away on June 22, 2011.

Bob went to work for the City and County of Denver in the mid 1960s and retired from their Wastewater Management Division after 30 years of service to the City .

He was predeceased by his wife Berly, by his parents, Blas and Celia Castilla Prado and by his brother Ruben Prado.

Bob is survived by his sister Eleanor Cordova and her children. He is also survived by his son Ken Sandoval (Angie), his six grandchildren, Kenny, Katherine, Kevin, Keith, Kristopher and Kraig and by seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, whom he all loved and cherished.

Per Bob's wishes there will be no viewing or services and he will be buried with his wife at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.

A memorial Mass will be held on Friday June 26 at 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church, the church of his First Communion, located at 2760 Larimer St., Denver.
