Rocco D. Astuno, Jr.

Rocco David Astuno, Jr., a native of Denver, Colorado, passed away on Monday, September 21st, 2026.  He was 92 years of age. 

He leaves behind his three daughters, Roxanne (Jim) Matheson, Patty (Dick) Shaw, and Denise Astuno, and several grand and great grandchildren. Rocco was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Violet Astuno; his father, Rocco Astuno and his mother, Rose Astuno, his brother, John Astuno, his sister, Helen Mantegna and his beloved grandson, Michael Yannacito.

A proud veteran, Rocco served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict.

Rocco worked as a Manager for Ronson Corporation in downtown Denver for 20 years until Ronson decided to close and move its operations to New Jersey.  Rocco chose to stay in Denver and became a Real Estate Broker and Agent and sold houses and properties throughout the Denver area. He moved his family to Lakewood from North Denver at that time.

He was involved in many civic and fraternal organizations, including the Knights of Columbus Council 539 and the John Reddin Assembly #87 and was a Fourth-degree Knight.  Rocco was also a member of the ITAMS Club, an Italian fraternal group, the Potenza Lodge and the Travelers Protective Association (TPA), of which he served as the National President and also spent many hours and days of his time as the TPA National Secretary and Colorado State Secretary. The TPA supports the hearing-impaired community, and Rocco having a hearing impairment himself, it meant a lot to him to give to others with his involvement in that organization.

Rocco lived a long life and is now at peace.
