Rodney Lee Baum, 90, of Arvada, died on Friday, November 14, 2025. He was born on June 25, 1935, in Hebron, Nebraska to Vaughn Henry Baum and Mary “Irene” (Frame) Baum. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953 and received a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1958 from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Upon returning home from his college graduation ceremony, he found a draft notice waiting for him in the mail. He answered the call to serve and completed his service with the United States Army.
Rod began his career with International Harvester in Lincoln and then Grand Island, Nebraska, later moving to Denver, Colorado, where he enjoyed a long and successful career as Manager of Sales. He loved fishing—especially trips to Canada—along with bowling, golfing, hiking, and spending time with his family. In retirement, Rod took great joy in woodworking, building birdhouses, and watching baby birds grow each season from his back patio. He was also known for keeping a perfectly manicured lawn. He was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church in April 2007 and faithfully attended the Arvada SDA Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother Gail (Donna) Baum, and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
