Rodney William Leigh, Sr.
July 5, 1938 — October 16, 2015
Rodney was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Leadville, Colorado by his father Elmer and his mother Marie.
He married Betty Jean Leigh (Dincola) and they had 3 sons together. Betty passed away in July 2004.
He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and long drives throughout the Colorado mountains. Other things he enjoyed were sprint cars and midgets which he built 2 of and was working on a third when he passed away. He also enjoyed gardening, planting roses, cooking and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He worked many jobs including driving trucks but finished his career as a maintenance superintendent for Lakewood Brick and Tile until his retirement.
Rodney was survived by, His brother Robert, sisters Darlene and Betty, sons Rodney Jr, Ronald and Roland, grandchildren Anthony, Lindsey, Brianna, Dale, Rodney lll, Hannah, Brendon, and great grandchild Alijah. Companion Maxine Dunn. And his dog Missy
