Roman Shtromberg , 83, of Littleton, passed away August 1, 2016. He is survived by his beloved wife Svetlana Shtromberg, his daughters Mila and Lena, and his grandchildren Justine, Mitchell, and Galileo.
He was born August 11, 1932 in Kiev, Ukraine, the son of Miron and Shendlya (Bugay) Shtromberg. On August 25, 1965 he married Svetlana Belaya in Kiev, Ukraine. Roman came to the United States from the Ukraine and he worked hard to become a successful computer programmer. He lived in New York, Connecticut, and later made the great state of Colorado and Denver, which he loved dearly, his final home. He died on the day of Colorado's 140th anniversary. He lived a very active lifestyle, he was an avid skier and fisherman, he liked to bike, hike and rollerblade. He had no fear of learning new skills. He enjoyed traveling and seeing new places but most of all he loved Hawaii and Steamboat Springs, those were dearest to his heart. His sense of humor made him the life of the party and he was famous for his birthday poems and toasts, he always had something to say and sometimes it even rhymed. His strong will and determination led him to live life to the fullest. He will be missed by his family and friends.
