Ron Juneau

September 20, 1942 — August 27, 2015

Ron Juneau, 72, of Parker, passed away at home August 27, 2015.

He was born September 20, 1942 in Lewiston, Maine, the son of Edmond and Mercedes (Laliberte) Juneau. He was a graduate of Edward Little High School '61 in Auburn, Maine and earned an associates degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. On December 26, 1977 he married Melody Rendon of Whittier, California.

Ron served in the United States Marine Corps from 1961-1970. In 1969 he initiated and directed the first Colorado Special Olympics for which he received an honorable distinction award for his work and dedication. Eventually the program was turned over to and run by the Joseph P. Kennedy Foundation.

Most of his career was spent as an insurance agent.

Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing with friends and family and was an avid Broncos fan. He was rich with friends with whom he had really meaningful times.

Ron is survived by his wife of 37 years, Melody and his three children; Timothy Juneau, Christien (Jennifer) Juneau, Stacie (Ned) Williams by his former wife Maureen Juneau. Ron has four grandchildren; Courtney, Jasmine, Jonathan Juneau and Jace Williams. Not to be overlooked, Dino and Mona, their beloved cats.

A service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery for the family followed by a memorial service for friends and family at Newcomer Funeral Home on Monday, September 14th at 12pm.
