Ronald Norris Byg

Ron Byg, 82, of Bennett, Colorado passed away at home surrounded by family and loved ones on Thursday June 11, 2026.

He was born to Norman Byg and Helen Byg (Kalskett), on January 28, 1944, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Aurora High School in 1961. He married Judi Silvernail in 1965 and they lived together in Aurora, CO before relocating to Bennett, CO in 2001.

He worked at the General Motors Parts Warehouse in Denver for 32 years, retiring in 1995. His goal was to be retired as long as he worked, he missed it by one year.

During his time at GM, he was the President of the Local Union of the UAW #431, after retiring he was the President of the retirees’ group of UAW #431.

Ron is survived by wife Judi, two sons Steve and Rob (Elizabeth). He is also survived by three grandchildren, Ryan and Dillon Byg, Garrett Meister and his family, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Helen Byg, sister Jolene Norberg and brother Roger Byg.
