Ron J. Field was born August 23, 1934 in Havre Montana to Phillip and Helen (King) Field. He passed away May 6, 2017, Denver, Colorado .
He graduated from Battle Ground High School in Battle Ground Washington in 1952. He served in the Navy from 1953-1961.
He was a widower of Barbara Field. He then married Gloria Alarid, she survives him.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 193 in Denver where he had served as Post Commander, most recently he served as Senior Vice. He was formerly a member of the Masons. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He was an avid Bronco and Rockies fan.
Ron enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed repairing small electronic gadgets. He was a great handyman and loved his computer. He volunteered much of his time at the American Legion where he formed many long friendships. He enjoyed spending time with family.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Gloria Field; two sons, Robert (Barbara) Field and Richard (Yvette) Field, two stepsons, Ronald Alarid and Stephen Alarid, two stepdaughters, Nadine (Jim) Shriver, Susy (Jamison) Smith. Eight grandchildren, Lee Ann Field, Chris Field, Jeff Field, Ruben Garcia, Danielle Shriver, Gabriel Shriver, Alexandra Shriver, Armani Alarid, brother, Duane Field; sister, Linda Keeler and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by father, Phillip Field; stepmother, Helen Field, mother, Helen King, sister, Phyllis Hurley and grandchild Miguel Garcia.
