Ronald Martinez

Ronald "Sach" Martinez, age 77, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at his home on Everett Street. Born on June 15, 1949, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Colorado, Sach grew up surrounded by the love of his parents, Esther (Marquez) and Victor Martinez, and the lively energy of a big, close-knit family.

Sach is survived by his son, George Fresquez, and his grandson, Zenjah Fresquez, who brought him endless pride and joy. He is also survived by his devoted sisters, Merci (Martinez) Goff and Rachel (Martinez) Harris, who cherished him deeply. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Martin "Guy" Martinez and Terry A. Martinez, with whom he shared countless memories, mischief, and music.

A man of many talents, Sach found joy in playing the guitar and singing, with musical tastes that ranged from Country to Reggae. He loved a good story just as much.

Sach was a storyteller at heart. If you knew him, you probably heard at least one wild tale involving a wrought iron bike, some pistolas, and a few unruly "gooses." His stories were part humor, part legend, and entirely Sach.

He never hesitated to lend a hand on any project. He never needed instructions, never asked for help, and somehow always had a new one underway. But his greatest passion was fishing. Sach was the family expert and guide, always ready with a rod in hand and rarely passing up a chance to cast a line. The water was his peace, his joy, and his favorite place to be.

Above all, Sach was a friend to many who loved him. He was a beloved uncle, cousin, and brother who cherished his family and friends, collecting countless photos on his walls and slideshows on his devices to keep them close.
