Roosevelt was a devoted family man whose gentle spirit, kind heart, patience, and humble nature touched everyone who knew him.

Roosevelt “Bo” Green, cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at the age of 69.

Born on May 28, 1957, in Ft. Gaines, Georgia, Roosevelt was a devoted family man whose gentle spirit, kind heart, patience, and humble nature touched everyone who knew him. He was calm, even-tempered, and easygoing, carrying himself with quiet strength and grace. His presence, wisdom, and love made a lasting impact without ever needing to be the loudest voice in the room.

Honoring His Military Service

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army for 12 years. His dedication, courage, and commitment to his country were a significant part of his life and a source of great pride for his family.  He carried the values of honor, loyalty, courage, discipline, and dedication throughout his life. His family deeply appreciates the sacrifices he made in service to his country and will forever honor his legacy of service.

His Faith, Work, and Life

Roosevelt was a man of faith who truly loved God. His relationship with God brought him comfort, strength, and guidance throughout his life. Church was an important part of his life, bringing him joy, peace, and a sense of community.

His strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to providing for and caring for his family were a true reflection of the man he was.

He was also a hardworking and dedicated man. After his military service, he devoted 24 years of dedicated service to the Colorado public transportation system. He took great pride in his work and in serving his community. He continued working faithfully until his health no longer allowed him to work. His strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to providing for and caring for his family were a true reflection of the man he was.

Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, sports, and going to church. Above all, his greatest joy was his family. He cherished spending time with them and watching his family grow. His gentle nature, patience, and kind heart made him someone his loved ones could turn to. His family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

Roosevelt is survived by his wife, Amy Green; his children, Susan Green, Angela Green, and Johnathan (Mary) Green; bonus children, Ashley Cross, Sheria Talley, and Davyn (Irene) Cross; grandchildren, Daion Green, Adonis Green, Hazel Green, Legend Green, and Legacy Green; bonus grandchildren, Siashia Allen, Laporsha Allen, and DaVon Allen; bonus grandson Dawson Cross; siblings, Bertha (Marion) Smith, Diane Furlow, Edward (Jennie) Green, Charlie (Yvette) Green, Bobbie Green, Archie (Charles) Harris, and Levon (Timothy) Sims; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Green and John Green Sr.; and his siblings, Geraldine Holt, Elizabeth Green, John Green Jr., Curtis Green, and Geneva Lusane.

Those who knew and loved him will remember him for his gentle spirit, kind heart, patience, humility, strength, quiet wisdom, strong work ethic, and unwavering love for his family and God. His love, guidance, and teachings will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Although our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in the love, faith, service, and memories that filled Roosevelt’s life. His physical presence may be gone, but his love will continue to live on in our hearts. His family will carry his name, values, faith, work ethic, and love forward for generations to come. He proudly served his country. He faithfully loved his God. He dedicated 24 years to serving his community. He wholeheartedly loved his family and he will be forever missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Viewing will be held on August 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at:

The family kindly requests that guests wear royal blue and white, if possible, in honor of Roosevelt. Military honors will be presented in recognition of Roosevelt’s honorable service to the United States Army.
