Rosalyn L. Gaffney was born November 29, 1952 at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah to Robert G. Gaffney and Rosalie Townsel Gaffney, the second of four children.
Rosalyn graduated from West High School in Denver and continued on to Colorado State University, finally completing her education with a Masters in Business from the University of Phoenix. She retired from AT&T as a Business Manager.
Rosalyn was a rare and special person and you knew it while in her presence. She had a multitude of friends and an ability to extend herself to others. She took great care in the nurturing of her friendships. She radiated kindness, intelligence and great wit. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Her friends were naturally drawn back for her great company.
She loved her jewelry and had an immense passion for cooking and loved to prepare dishes for her family and friends. Her unselfish and unwavering support of her family and friends will be sorely missed.
God wrapped his arms around Rosalyn after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma on Saturday, April 25, 2015 when the sun set on this beautiful life and she was able to rest peacefully.
She is preceded in death by her Father Robert G. Gaffney, Mother Rosalie T Gaffney and Brother Garcia R. Gaffney.
She leaves to cherish her memory sisters Deborah Gaffney of Denver, Famatta Nakashima of Aurora; niece Mandi (Christopher) Bishop, nephews DJ (Christy) Nakashima, Darnell Gaffney, and Nicholas Nakashima; great-nephews Tyree and Dontay Banks, and many other relatives and friends.
