Rosemary Ertle, 68, of Denver, peacefully drifted off to heaven early Saturday morning, October 10, 2015.
Rosemary was born on October 12, 1946 in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to Timoteo and Rosa (Ulibarri) Mondragon. Her family relocated to Denver in 1951 and she graduated from St. Joseph's High School, Class of 1964, "Bulldog Born."
Rosemary and Ken Ertle united in marriage on December 26, 1964 and just this past December celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
After raising their five daughters, Rosemary decided to enter the workforce at age 50 and spent the next 19 years with King Soopers.
Rosemary will be remembered not only for her involvement of all of the St. Joe's Class Reunions every 10 years and the Ladies Broken Tee Golf Club, but also by doing what she loved the most, taking pictures and documenting them. She also loved spending time with the members from both Curves and Weight Watchers, along with her "Sunday Afternoon's" with her longtime girlfriends.
The only thing that Rosemary loved more than taking pictures was every member of her family and getting them all together. As probably half the world already knew this because they were on her annual Christmas card list; Birthdays, Holidays, and about every day was an excuse to have family together. And those occasions made for great photo opportunities too.
Rosemary was a long standing member of Notre Dame Catholic Church. She was a very devout Catholic and had a strong devotion to Our Blessed Virgin Mary and would pray the Rosary daily. Her Catholic faith was very important to her and the source of her strength.
Rosemary is survived by her husband Ken and their five daughters: Carolyn (Dave) Vickles; Michelle Coe; Valerie Sexton; Sheila (Mark) Fisher and Elizabeth (Chris) Martinez. Her 13 grandchildren: Davlyn (Kyle) Black; Colton and Dalton Vickles; Kenneth Ertle; Caleb Coe; Lorna (Josh) Martin; Ashley, Matthew, and Tyler Sexton; Demi and Ronnie Fisher; and Elise and Jesenia Martinez. Her four great grandchildren: Kolby and Levi Black; and Farren and Ezra Martin. Her brothers: Ed; Henry; Victor; David and Tim Mondragon; Her sisters: Dolores Howerter; Stephanie Mondragon and Andrea Berglund. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, her uncle Constante (Henry) Ulibarri and her two aunts: Florida (Flora) Romero and Antonia (Toni) Aragon. She is preceded in death by her parents Tim and Rose Mondragon, her brother Ernie Mondragon, her sister Rita France, and her son-in-law Darryl Sexton.
"We were so blessed to have you in our lives and to be able to call you our Wife, Mom, Grandma, Nana, Family or Friend. You will be missed more than you will ever know and you will be forever in our daily thoughts and prayers. We love you!"
