Rosemary Terhune, 91, of Castle Rock, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, June 23, 2024, of natural causes.
She was born April 21, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ernest and the late Marie Zuber. Her father Ernest died when Rosemary was three years old. Her mother later married Charles Stressler. Rosemary had many good years with them and after graduating from high school she married Arthur Terhune on June 20, 1953, in Chicago. Arthur and Rose had two sons, Ed and Tom, and then soon moved from Chicago to Denver to be closer to her brother, Ernie. Arthur started a business and Rosemary worked in retail stores, before retirement.
Rosemary enjoyed many cruises and trips with Arthur and friends and loved to travel. She lived in Chandler, Arizona from 1998 to 2021 at Sunbird Retirement Golf Resort. Rosemary loved people and animals, whether she knew them for five minutes or fifty years.
Surviving is her son Tom, of Castle Rock and her relatives in the Chicago area, Ken Keiler, Matt (Patty), Scott (Maria), Ava, Brooke, Elizabeth and Ronan. Also, Christine Watson and her family and Christy Downare Marshall of LaGrange, Wyoming.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 2011 and her son, Ed, in 2013, her parents, stepfather and brother.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Rosemary's memory to The Denver Hospice.
