Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roxanne Dinnell on August 2, 2026, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Roxanne was born on November 9, 1956, in Denver, CO, to Donald and Mary Ellen Stodden, both of whom have preceded her in death. She married her high school sweetheart, Mark Dinnell, on February 14, 1976, at Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden, CO.

She is lovingly remembered by her two sisters, Sharon (Larry) Archer and Donnelle (Al) Finken, her husband Mark, and her children, Tabor Dinnell, Shawn (Jenna) Dinnell, and Sarah Dinnell. Roxanne also treasured her 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Stodden.

Roxanne had a remarkable gift for music, effortlessly playing any melody by ear on both the piano and guitar. Her love for animals was also significant, especially her cherished horses from her youth.

God placed creativity in her heart and skill in her fingertips, and she spent her days bringing that beauty into the world. What began as a simple hobby blossomed into a passion for creating beautiful hand-crafted items. She delighted in sharing her creations with friends and family, and many of her loved ones proudly display these lovingly made pieces in their homes.

Family and friends will come together to celebrate Roxanne’s life on August 20, 2026. A viewing will take place at 11:00 AM at Newcomer West Metro Chapel, located at 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80226. This will be followed by a Graveside Service at 1:00 PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.

As we grieve Roxanne’s loss, we hold dear the gift of her love and the legacy she leaves behind in every life she touched. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her, carried forward by the laughter, music, and unwavering affection she so generously shared.

For those who would like to send flowers, we suggest making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in her memory instead. You can find a link to her memory page here. (http://act.alz.org/goto/rdinnell)
