Ruby B. Ellsworth, 82, of Greenwood Village, passed away September 7, 2014.
She was born January 23, 1932 in Hitchcock, South Dakota, the daughter of Fred and Charlotte (Eldeen) Genzler.
Growing up in rural South Dakota, she attended a one room schoolhouse, followed by graduating from University of Denver / St Luke's Hospital with an RN degree. She was always an honor student.
On April 10, 1954 she married Donald Ellsworth of LaGrange, MO. Together, they had a lifetime of extensive travel, including Europe, Canada, and all fifty states. His career brought them to both rugged wilderness and the heart of Manhattan, and she was equally at home in both.
She was an avid reader of mysteries, and never missed the daily paper, including its crossword puzzle. She was an exceptional bridge player in multiple simultaneous bridge groups.
She felt passionately about her church, her husband, her family, and the many great friends she made along the way.
Ruby is survived by Daughter, Donetta G. (William) Marconi; Son, Scott Patrick (Jennifer) Ellsworth; four Grandchildren, Sarah E. Marconi, Meredith M. Williamson, Samantha G. George, Catherine E.
