Ruth Ellen Babb

Ruth E. Babb (Hammond), age 96, of Broomfield, CO passed away November 4, 2013. Ruth was born near Mt. Harris, CO October 18, 1917. Raised on a ranch near Mt. Harris. Graduated from Hayden Union High School; then attended Western State College. Later taught school in Buena Vista, Mt. Harris, and Granby. Married Clarence I. Babb on September 29, 1940 in Breckenridge, CO. Was active in Brownies, PTA, Grange, Civic Club, Women's Auxiliary. Enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, bowling, rock hunting, photography, and helping others.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd in Lakewood on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 11am-12pm, followed by a funeral service at 12pm. Internment to follow at Golden Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen J. Daniels and Joann R. Lueloff; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and three great, great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
