Ruth I. Richmond, 83, of Loveland, passed away November 24, 2015.
Ruth was born August 18, 1932 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Walter and Mabel (Turner) Llewellyn. She graduated from South High School in Denver, Colorado in 1950, and then attended Barnes Business School. On December 6, 1952 she married her high school sweetheart, Charles (Chuck) Richmond, of Denver, Colorado. Ruth worked for Continental Air Lines until she and Chuck married and moved to Virginia while he served in the Navy. They returned to Denver in 1953 where they raised three daughters and Ruth devoted her time to raising her family. In 1976 she returned to work as a paraprofessional at the school that her daughter, Sally, was attending and then worked as an executive secretary for Oppenheimer Funds and USWest Telecommunications. Upon retirement, she enjoyed crafts, quilting, book club, and camping with family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Chuck Richmond; three daughters, Nancy Reed, Mary (Paul Meyer) Richmond, and Sally (Dennie) Hashaw; five grandchildren, Melissa (Robert) Rogers, Travis Babcock, Trevor (Dee Anna) Babcock, Kathryn Gunter, and Sam Meyer; and one great-grandchild, Mykaila Rogers. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Mabel Llewellyn and sisters, Orpha Schulman, Helen Johnson, and Lois Llewellyn.
