Ruth Margret Smith, 'Ruthie", 79, of Aurora, passed away Sunday June 30, 2013.
She was born to the late Lebrecht and Augusta Brill, April 6, 1934, in Kassel, Germany.
Ruth married the love of her life, the late Nyal Ray Smith in 1954 during his service in the Armed Forces. They lived around the world, before relocating in Aurora in 1965.
Ruth was an avid bowler and was a member of the Greater Denver USBC, along with the Columbine Bowling Club. She had to retire from her love of bowling in 2006 due to illness. She also had a passion for family and friends. She would light up a room when she walked in and was the center of any gathering. Her zest for life was infectious, as was her smile. Anybody that knew Ruthie, knows the entire page would be taken up to write about her life. We shall miss her always. Rest in peace and know we will meet again one day.
Ruth is survived by 3 children: J. Nyal Smith, of Aurora, Debbie O'Shea, of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Jerry Smith (Carole Jones), of Englewood.
She is also survived by family members too numerous to name.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruthie's honor to Denver Hospice.
