Lorraine "Sadie" Garcia fought a courageous battle against ovarian cancer. On May 17, 2011 that battle came to an end and she passed away surrounded by her family and lots of love.
For a remarkable three years she fought like a trooper while never complaining, losing faith or hope. In spite of her pain, she continued to provide love, strength and inspiration to everyone she knew, as a wife, a mother, as an extraordinary grandmother, a sister, aunt and friend. She dedicated her life to her loved ones and was the heart and soul of the family. Her character and personality were memorable to all those close to her while she continued to gain new friends who also championed a variety of cancers all around the world.
She and her family (Ben, Jodeen, 'DeDe' and Beng) were long time residents of Pueblo before moving to Denver.
Anyone who knew Sadie knew she lived in the moment and loved gambling in Vegas and Central City/Blackhawk.
