Sandra Maureen (Beard) Bowyer, age 49, was born on August 22, 1976, in Harvard, Illinois, to Yvonne Ellen Buck and Dwight David “Ike” Beard. She passed away on December 10, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m. in Aurora, Colorado, with her mom Yvonne and her stepmom Jill by her side.
Sandy was a gentle, generous soul whose kindness illuminated the lives of everyone around her. She lived with an open heart, offering warmth, compassion, and trust freely. Known for her sincerity, quiet resilience, and unwavering capacity for tenderness, she made a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Sandy was the devoted mom of two children, her son Jaden Bowyer and daughter Kaylen Bowyer. Although they became estranged in adulthood, her love for them remained steadfast. She carried them in her heart every day, holding pride, hope, and enduring affection for them throughout her life.
Family was central to Sandy’s world, and the bonds she held were deep and meaningful. She shared an extraordinary closeness with her identical twin sister, Amanda Hill, with whom she lived during her final years. After spending most of her adult life in California, Sandy returned home to Colorado through Amanda’s loving dedication, bringing her back to the people who cherished her most.
Sandy most recently lived in a chaotic and busy household with her sister Amanda Hill and Amanda’s fiancé, as well as her mom Yvonne Buck, whose presence offered grounding and comfort. Her relationship with her younger sister, Andrea Beard, was warm and cherished, defined by mutual love and deep connection. She was dearly loved by her dad, Ike Beard, who affectionately called her his “Peanut,” a nickname reflecting his enduring tenderness for her. Their stepmom, Jill Beard, was also an impactful and caring presence, offering support that enriched their family story.
Throughout her life, those who loved Sandy held deep affection for her. Her openness, kindness, and gentle spirit inspired admiration and heartfelt connection.
Animals brought Sandy immense joy. She treasured her pets, often dressing them up for holidays and celebrations, finding delight and laughter in the simple, playful moments they shared. Her love of decorating—especially for the holidays—transformed her home into a space filled with warmth, color, and celebration. Sandy had a gift for creating beauty and joy in every environment she touched.
Children, whether her own or those she encountered in daily life, brought a bright spark to Sandy’s eyes. She had a natural ability to make them feel safe, loved, and truly seen. Her gentle presence and nurturing spirit were a comfort to many.
Returning to Colorado in her final years allowed Sandy to be surrounded by the love of her immediate family and the familiarity of home. Those years were a meaningful and cherished part of her life.
Sandy’s legacy is one of love—love for her family, her pets, her home, and the small but profound joys that made each day special. She leaves behind memories rich with tenderness, humor, resilience, and the quiet beauty of a heart that never stopped giving.
