Sandra Kay Mckone-Beeson

74, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend died Friday, May 11th in her home. Sandra, "Sandia", "Sonnie" was a humanitarian and philanthropist. She had an earth encompassing passion of people and their cultures, environment, wildlife and travel. She was ROTC member and Queen, Bi-Centennial Chairman, Trout and Ducks Unlimited Member and Recipient of Optimist of the Year Award in Nebraska City, NE. She is survived by her daughter Robin Wapelhorst and husband Glenn, Sabrina Norris and husband Chris, Son Keenan McKone, her sister, Patricia Carden, brother John Kendall Blackburn, grandchildren James, Grace, Audrey, Jonathan, Eli and Great-grandchildren Eden, Isaiah and Jackson. She was preceded in death by husbands Robert McKone and Millard Beeson, and her son, Mark McKone.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19th, at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent to Newcomer East Metro Chapel, 190 N. Potomac, Aurora, Colorado 720-857-0700, or in lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to one of the charities that were special to Sandra.
