Sandra Perry Mcgoveran

Sandy McGoveran, 79, died on Thursday, September 29th. She was born in Oklahoma, but lived most of her early life in Kansas.
She graduated from college and moved to Denver where she began her career as an elementary school teacher in Adams District 50. She touched over 900 students during her 30-year career.
Sandy lived in North Denver and was very active in Democractic politics in Denver. She served a number of years as the treasurer of the Democratic Party. She helped with numerous campaigns and believed strongly in trying to make Denver, Colorado, and the nation a better place. She also worked for a number of years as the Office Manager for the Denver Election Commission.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father and mother and is survived by her brother, James Perry.
