Sarah M. DeHerrera was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Sarah M. DeHerrera was born in Las Animas County, Colorado in 1923. She is preceded in death by Father, Moises Martinez, Mother, Nora Martinez, Husband, Joe C. DeHerrera, Son, Frederick Ross DeHerrera, Daughter, Josephine J. Alvarado, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Survived by Daughters, Angie Maestas, Victoria Sanchez, Margaret DeHerrera, Elizabeth Ann Basquez, Katherine Nora Trujillo, Esther Louise Summerfield, Virgina Lorraine DeHerrera-Abeyta; Sons, Joseph Edward Medina, Ernesto B. DeHerrera, Robert Leroy DeHerrera, Joseph M. DeHerrera; Sister, Mary Vigil; 32 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Rosary services are scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro Chapel, located at 901 So. Sheridan Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80226. Viewing is at 6:00 pm and the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.
Church Funeral Mass is at Presentation of Our Lady Church at 11:00 am on Friday, January 16, located at 695 Julian Street, Denver, CO 80204 and burial will follow at Olinger Highland Cemetery, 10201 North Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229.
