The family is shocked and deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Scott Lee Bacon, 55 of Aurora Colorado on July 15, 2026.

Scott was born in Monroe Michigan on April 20, 1971, to Robert and Mary Ann (Allman) Bacon. In 1977 the family moved to Colorado where Scott would spend most of his life. The eldest of 5 siblings, Scott had a protective nature, which sometimes presented itself as a WWF wrestling move or tickle torture.

Scott was intelligent, though not academically driven, and he left school before graduating. He became independent at an early age. This taught him the value of hard work and being resourceful. He would pride himself throughout his life on how he obtained many jobs that required educational expectations he didn’t hold, and would get the job anyway. He eventually received his GED later in his adult life.

Scott met his wife Crystal while both working at Taco Bell in their twenties. He showed a rare romantic side in his proposal by singing Long as I Live by John Michael Montgomery. He married Crystal Sims on August 19, 1996 and had an immediate family with her son Dustin. During their time together they enjoyed over the road trucking, watching movies, singing, listening to music and begrudgingly sorting Legos. Regardless of the activity, they were happy in each other’s presence. Scott’s love and appreciation for Crystal grew as the decades passed. He often shared that she “saved him” and was the most forgiving, kind and loving person he knew.

Scott enjoyed working and had a variety of work experiences during his life. He appreciated 2 career paths the most. The first was over the road trucking, where Crystal and Dustin were able to travel with him before Dustin entered school. The other was being a manager with Direct TV where his leadership skills and intellect were used.

Scott had a wonderful singing voice and enjoyed karaoke. He built his own computers and had a knack for technology. He enjoyed cooking and trying unique variations of recipes. He was a Christian and had a deep understanding of the bible and teachings of Arnold Murray. He was fierce in his beliefs and convictions and his faith in God was strong. Scott loved to debate and have intellectual conversations. He enjoyed watching Colorado Rockies baseball, listening to the late Rush Limbaugh and the comedian Lewis Black. He was funny, sarcastic and clever. Most recently, Scott gave his additional time and attention to his 2 boxers, Parker and Luna.

Scott is survived by his wife Crystal Bacon, son Dustin Good, mother Mary Ann Allman, sisters Pam Kage, Jamie (Nick) Baker and Candice (John) Cochran, brother Nickolas (Tessa) Bacon, many nieces and nephews and his 2 boxers, Parker and Luna. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Bacon.

Private viewing will be held for family only. A Celebration of Life for family and close friends will take place at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, July 22nd at EHills Church, 25511 E.
