Scott Michel

Scott Michel passed away Thursday April 16, 2015. He is preceded in death by his mother Sharrie Dee Michel. He is survived by his father, Woodrow "Woody" Michel, his step-mother Judy Michel, his brother Tom Michel, his sister-in-law Shannon Michel, his niece Emily Michel and his nephew Andrew Michel. He is also survived by numerous friends and loved ones.

Scott was a 1994 graduate of Overland High School in Aurora. He briefly attended the Community College of Aurora to pursue a degree in business. He worked in the Health Care Industry with the University of Colorado Hospital for 8 years, and at Children's Hospital for the past 3 years.

Bungee jumping and adventure seeking were two of his favorite activities. He enjoyed working out, playing tennis and was proudest when he completed a half marathon in 2007.

Scott dedicated much of his life to volunteer activities. He volunteered with nearly two dozen organizations including Ronald McDonald House, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels, Warren Village, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and The American Cancer Society. He also donated much of his money to these causes.
