Sharon Ann"Sheri" Whitt

Sharon Ann "Sheri" Whitt, 69, of Lakewood, passed away April 22, 2016.

She was born November 28, 1946 in the original St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Dean and Mary (Applehanz) Carlson.

Sheri was a graduate of North High School.

On September 17, 1988, she married Michael "Mike" Whitt.

She was a successful travel agent for many years. Sheri also ventured at owning a wig shop on Colfax that had already been in business for many years.

Sheri was a member of the Elks Auxiliary #1777 and also was a chaplain with the VFW Post 17. Sheri was also a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She was also a Mariner for cruise lines.

She enjoyed dancing, cooking and socializing with family and friends. Sheri was passionate about traveling and took 22 cruises with Mike over the years.

Sharon is survived by her husband Michael "Mike" Whitt; Two Sisters-In-Law, Sheila Dexter and Barbara Corn and three pets, Scooter Whitt, Jazz Whitt and Sugar Whitt.

She is preceded in death by Father, Dean Carlson, Mother, Mary Carlson.
