Sharon Kay Embury, 77, of Denver, passed away Monday November 20, 2017.
She was born to the late Paul and Mildred Biggerstaff, September 28, 1940, in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Two years after graduating from Plattsmouth High School she married the late Ronald Embury in 1960, eventually relocating to Golden, Colorado.
Sharon was a homemaker and avid reader who also enjoyed crossword puzzles, embroidery, crafting, and listening to music. Some of her fondest memories were of her travels to Aruba, Mexico, Hawaii, and Germany.
Sharon is survived by her three children: Jeffrey (Tracy) Embury, Jennifer (Ron) Younger; James (Jennifer) Embury; Ten Grandchildren, Jeffrey (Caitlin) Matson, Sumner Matson, Ashton (Kelsey) Younger, Brielle Younger, Elyse Younger, Taylor (Tyler) Matzke, Kendra Embury, Allison Embury, Casey Embury, Ryan Embury; Four Great-Grandchildren, Audrey Matzke, Oliver Matson, Tenley Younger, Jaxson Matzke; Sister, JoNon Hanika and numerous Nieces & Nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children.
No services will be held.
