Sharon K. Muhlenburg

July 28, 1939 — July 20, 2016

After a long 7 year illness Sharon K. Muhlenburg, 76, of Lakewood, Colo. passed away peacefully July 20, 2016 at home with her family by her side. Just 8 days away from her 77 birthday.

Sharon was born July 28, 1939. The first child of Marcetta and Derril Cyphers of Hiawatha Kansas. Married 43 years, she is survived by her husband Gene of Lakewood, Colo. Son Michael of Arizona. Son Daniel of Lakewood, Colo. Daughter Annette of Lakewood, Colo. Step son Royce of Minnesota. Step daughter BaLinda of Oregon. Step daughter Samantha of Oregon. 14 grand children, 10 great grandchildren. Brother Jim Cyphers and his wife Janet of Kansas. 2 nephews of Kansas. Mother-in-law Gladys of Wheat Ridge, Colo.

Sharon graduated from Hiawatha High School, Hiawatha Kansas. She worked as a medical secretary for several years. Met and married Gene Muhlenburg in 1973, and instantly became a full time house wife tending to the needs of 6 rowdy kids ages 2 to 13. As time went by Sharon worked in several different arenas, but as needed by the kids always returned to being a mother and house wife.

An avid Bronco fan who fired more QB's and coaches than the league had. A dedicated Fantasy football manager who would replace any player who did not perform to her expectations. She managed as many as 8 teams a season and would usually finish in the top 3 or 4 spots if not the league champion. She loved all sports and followed each as their seasons came around. At age 50 she conned her husband into taking up the game of golf. In a short period of time they were both lovers of cow pasture pool as her husband called it. It broke her heart when she had to give up the game due to her illness.

She loved to cook and spent numerous hours in the kitchen preparing meals for her family. Holidays were special to her and every dish she cooked had to be perfect to look at and taste.

Sharon loved her dogs Missey and Benji both miniature schnauzers who preceded her in death, and her baby boy Chipper also a miniature schnauzer who like the family is in a deep state of mourning and is truly missing his mommy.

A beautiful special lady inside and out, who will be greatly missed by family and everyone that knew her.
