Sharon Louise Spitler

Sharon Louise Spitler, 75, of Denver, passed away January 8, 2017.

She was born December 19, 1941 in Laramie, Wyoming, the daughter of Joseph and Wilma (Blackburn) McDonald.

She was a graduate of West High School in Denver. She attended University of Northern Colorado for a year.

On October 27, 1961, she married John W. Spitler, formerly of Littleton.

Sharon worked as a File Clerk at Martin Company, now Lockheed Martin. Later she worked as a Sales Clerk at the Jewelry Counter for Joslins for many years until the company was bought out by Dillard's.

She enjoyed traveling, fishing and "camping" in the fifth-wheel. Sharon enjoyed collecting unusual things like the Painted Ponies, Miniature Shoes, National Park Stamps and Lighthouse Stamps. She also loved doing puzzles, playing games, Country-Western dancing and was an avid reader. Sharon loved to spend time with her grandchildren, especially geocaching and playing games with them.

Sharon is survived by her husband, John W. Spitler; a son, Troy L. (Sherri) Spitler; a daughter, Tracy L. Spitler and two grandchildren, Trenton and Alyson Spitler. She is also survived by two sisters, Brenda J. Steele and Pamela K. (Richard) Mantelli and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by Parents, Joseph Waverly McDonald and Wilma Louise McDonald Hatz and Stepfather, Richard "Dick" Hatz.
