Shirley Joanne Croghan (Granny) from Lakewood, Colorado lost her battle with
Cancer December 19, 2016.
Born July 18, 1936 in Council Bluff, Iowa, to Roy and Vera Swanger.
Survived by her children; Debra Neyman, Christina Boles, Mary Senio, Carol Brunswick, Mike Croghan, Patrick Croghan and Randy Croghan; 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; surviving siblings, Robert Swanger and Linda Ahlman.
Born into a family of 6 children and the mother of 9 children she was no stranger to a larger family, her family was her world. With her loving and outgoing spirit there were no strangers in her life. Whether shelter in a storm, to a hot meal or handmade blanket or scarf, to share with others filled her with great joy; we will all hold heart filled memories of the love that she gave.
She loved and cared for her children and all of their friends. A wonderful Grandmother to her grandchildren and their friends, and as a Great Grandmother she loved and cherished every moment.
A waitress most of her life she shared her charm and personality with others making many friend. Shirley touched the lives of the people she meet along the way. We will all hold wonderful memories of this beautiful woman.
There is a place in heaven for this angel, for a life well done.

Memorial Service will be Friday, January 13, 2017 at 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home West - Metro Chapel.
Celebration of Life Reception to follow service at:
