He is survived by son Thomas S. Coates; daughters Patricia Ann Firestone and Debra Lynn Baile; grandsons Matthew and Nathan Coates; great-granddaughters Eleanor and Aislyn Coates. He was preceded in death by loving wife Florence L. Coates. Sidney served his country in the United States Air Force for over 23 Years.
