She was born January 1, 1977 in Accra, Ghana, the daughter of Allassan and Alimatu (Braimah) Cobblah. She was a graduate of Tarkwa Secondary High School. She attended Accra Polytechnic. She worked in food services at Denver Health Medical Center.
Sophia is survived by her mother and step-father, Alimatu B. Yacubu and Andy Adu-Ansere; siblings, Fawzia Amoo Abudu, Michael Cobblah, Ramzy Cobblah. She is preceded in death by her father, Allassan Cobblah.
