Stephen Garfield Porter, 64, of Denver, passed away Monday June 10, 2013.
He was born to the late Warren and June Porter, December 23, 1948, in Portland, OR. He married Kathi Porter in 1981, and they lived together in Portland before relocating to Denver, CO in 1992.
Steve was a retail store manager for almost 40 years. He enlisted into the Air Force in 1971 and was a Military Police Officer. He loved sci fi movies, Superman, electronic items, ZZ Top, and sarcasm, and fixing everything with duct tape. He also loved growing up on the Columbia River, and being a Papa.
Steve is survived by his wife: Kathi Porter, his children: Travis Bradley, Brooke Cole, Emily Cline, and Robert Palovcsik. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Caden Nivison, Elle Bradley, Landon Bradley, River Palovcsik, and Maverick Cline. Steve is preceded in death by his parents: Warren and June Porter, and his son Stevie Porter.
His memorial service will be held at the Lakewood Link Rec Center on Friday June 14, 2013 at 12:00pm.
